Figure out используется, когда мы понимаем что-либо, находим решение задачи или выясняем, как что-либо сделать.

Think over означает тщательно обдумать что-либо перед решением или ответом.

Help out означает помочь кому-либо в конкретной ситуации. Можно сказать как help someone out, так и help out someone, хотя вариант с местоимением требует формы help me out, help him out и т. д.

On Friday, the class works on a big puzzle. Ben looks at the pieces and says, “First, I need to think over the whole situation.” The teacher smiles and says, “Good. But also touch the puzzle.” After two minutes, Anna points out that the blue pieces probably go together. Leo quickly figures out one corner. Anna figures out the middle. Ben finally figures out that the picture is upside down. “That is also important,” he says proudly. At the end, the whole team helps out and finishes the puzzle together. The teacher says, “Very good. Teamwork wins again.” Ben smiles and says, “Yes. I help out by keeping everyone cheerful.”
